Concours Mondial de Bruxelles (CMB) as one of the biggest and most prestigious wine competitions in the world just has extended inscription deadline for 2017 to March 17. This enhances exhibitors of ProWein show in Düsseldorf (March 19 – 21) to deliver their samples directly to Winalia booth D11 in hall 11 – after previous inscription via website.
For each sample four bottles are requested. Standard participation fee is 150 Euro, in case of several samples submitted there’s price reductions.
After a remarkable growth with 8,750 wines at its 23rd edition in May 2016 in Plovdiv / Bulgaria the organiser Vinopres (Brussels) expects up to 9,000 samples and 320 tasters from all around the world this year from May 5 – 7 in Valladolid / Spain. As 60 per cent of them are working as journalists, huge media awareness in all important consumer markets is assured – a very important asset for wine producers in Central and Eastern Europe’s uprising wine countries in order to find new export markets.
The figures of samples from these countries has constantly grown in the last years reaching its summit with the Plovdiv 2016 edition, where Bulgaria rocked the wine world with more than 40 per cent medals for its wines participating in the competition thus showing the big progresses the region has made recently. Countries like Romania, Moldova, Czech Republic, Turkey and Slovakia were shining with very good results as well. – Further information: www.concoursmondial.com.
